Hello Everyone!

My name is Olivia Karp, and I’m from Canada. I’ve been active in the climate space for over four years now. During this time, I’ve had the opportunity to engage with organizations such as the Official Youth Constituency of the UNFCCC (YOUNGO), the Migration Youth and Children Platform (MYCP), UNICEF, and the Climate Mobility Community Action Network (CMCAN).

Through these roles, I’ve helped organize conferences at COP and SB sessions, advocated for stronger youth representation in climate policy, highlighted the incredible work of young climate leaders, and collaborated with a range of climate-focused groups and networks.

Over the years, I’ve come across a wide variety of climate-related opportunities, resources, and jobs. But I’ve also heard a recurring concern from peers: it can be overwhelming to find these resources, as they’re often scattered across multiple platforms. Many people have told me how helpful it would be to have everything in one centralized space. Along with trying to figure out how to transition into the climate space, start a business, apply for funds, fellowships and so much more in this area.

This feedback inspired me to create Act on Climate.

Act on Climate was born out of a desire to build a community for people who are passionate about climate action—whether they’re just starting out or already deeply involved. Our goal is to create a space where like-minded individuals can connect, share resources, find job and funding opportunities, exchange tips, and support one another on their climate journeys.

Through our platform, we aim to simplify the transition into the climate space—whether you're looking for jobs, fellowships, grants, or support for launching a climate-focused business or project.

We’re excited to grow this community together and look forward to building something impactful with all of you.

Our company is looking to organize a set of different events in the climate change space.

The events we are looking to organize are various industry led events in the climate space. All the events will be online open to people of all ages.

Here are the themes of some of the events:

1. How to kickstart your career in the climate space. I'm looking for speakers who have been involved or working in the climate space for 2 years.

2. Climate change and entrepreneurship. I'm looking for speakers who have started their own business in any capacity on climate change.

3. UN and Climate Jobs. I'm looking for speakers who work for some UN agencies that deal with climate change. The purpose of this workshop would be for you to talk about what it's like to work for these agencies and how to get involved.

3. Climate & Advocacy. I'm looking for speakers who have experience in climate change advocacy.
